Integrated Technology for Second Generation Biofuel Conversion

At our demonstration facility in Vonore, Tennessee, we are bringing together our long-standing expertise in biorefinery design with an optimized technology package of novel enzymes and fermentation organisms, with the following outcomes:

Converting stover to ethanol on a commercial scale

This optimized conversion process will be deployed in our new commercial-scale facility in Nevada, Iowa. With construction beginning in 2012, this stover-to-ethanol biorefinery will produce 30 million gallons of fuel-grade ethanol once fully operational.
